Step 1: walkthrough and scope. Connor or a senior installer evaluates slab condition, moisture, existing coatings, drainage, and the use case the floor needs to survive. You leave with a written scope and a fixed quote, not a vague range.

Step 2: prep, grind, and repair. Diamond grinding, shot blasting, crack chase and fill, joint repair, and full moisture mitigation when the slab calls for it. Eighty percent of every coating failure traces back to bad prep, and we do not skip steps to hit a price point.

Step 3: install. The full polished concrete system is installed by Signature employees on a fixed schedule.

Step 4: final coat and walk through. Sealed, inspected, signed off, written warranty in your hand, crew off site on the day promised.

Polished concrete is subtractive craft: the floor is already there, and the finish comes from grinding it through progressively finer diamond stages, densifying the surface chemically, and burnishing to the sheen the space calls for. The result is not a coating at all, it is the slab itself, hardened and refined, which is why it cannot peel and why it carries the longest service life of anything we do.

Not every slab qualifies, and the sample grind tells the truth: aggregate exposure, existing patches, and old repairs all show in a polished floor as character or as flaws depending on the slab’s history. We grind a test panel before quoting the full floor so the decision happens with the actual look on the actual concrete.

Sheen levels are a real choice: matte and satin hide traffic and suit warehouses and workplaces, high gloss photographs like water and suits showrooms, and the maintenance differs less than owners fear, dust mop and neutral cleaner either way, with periodic re-burnishing on the glossiest floors.

Where polish meets Louisiana moisture, densifiers help but physics still rules: below-grade and high-emission slabs get tested like every other project, and where a coating’s vapor barrier is the smarter engineering we say so. Polish is a beautiful answer, but only when the slab is asking that question.

Grind-and-seal is polish’s budget sibling and worth knowing: a coarser grind under a penetrating sealer delivers much of the look and all of the dust-proofing at a lower price point, the right call for warehouses and workshops where sheen is optional.

The sample panel makes the decision honest: an hour of grinding on your actual slab shows the aggregate, the character, and the achievable finish before any commitment. Where the slab disqualifies itself, the panel says so cheaply.

Stain and dye options extend polish beyond gray: penetrating dyes color the slab itself before densifying, so showrooms and offices get warm tones and brand colors with the same no-coating durability, chosen from dyed sample panels rather than a chart.

Joint filling finishes the look: saw cuts get semi-rigid fill flush-ground into the polish plane, so scrubbers glide and carts roll without the clatter, and the floor reads as one continuous surface end to end.
