Step 1: walkthrough and scope. Connor or a senior installer evaluates slab condition, moisture, existing coatings, drainage, and the use case the floor needs to survive. You leave with a written scope and a fixed quote, not a vague range.

Step 2: prep, grind, and repair. Diamond grinding, shot blasting, crack chase and fill, joint repair, and full moisture mitigation when the slab calls for it. Eighty percent of every coating failure traces back to bad prep, and we do not skip steps to hit a price point.

Step 3: install. The full metallic epoxy flooring system is installed by Signature employees on a fixed schedule.

A metallic floor is a controlled accident, and control is the craft. The pigments are mica-based particles suspended in clear epoxy, and the pattern comes from how the pour is moved while it is live: blown with air for wave and cloud effects, combed for directional movement, solvent-dropped for cell patterns. Two installers with the same materials produce different floors, which is why our metallics are senior-crew work and why we mock up a corner on larger pours before committing the room.

Color strategy beats color quantity: a two-tone pour with a dominant and an accent reads richer than four fighting pigments, and the base-coat color underneath sets the whole floor’s undertone. Samples at the walk cover the stock directions, and custom blends match brick, cabinetry, or brand colors when the project calls for it.

The protective stack decides whether the art survives: a clear polyaspartic or urethane wear coat over the metallic layer takes the traffic, the UV, and the hot tires, and a satin or gloss choice tunes how much the pattern shines. Skipping the wear coat to save money is how metallic floors scratch grey within a year, and we do not build them that way.

Live with it like furniture-grade surface: dust mop, neutral cleaner, mats at exterior doors, and the floor keeps its depth for decades. Scratches that eventually happen buff and re-clear without re-pouring the art.

The consult is sample-first, mockup-second, pour-third, so the floor that cures is the one you approved. Most residential metallics complete in three to four days including the controlled-cure day, and the finish walk happens with the light on.
